Mojo is HOME!!! Check out his new brother.
Safe landing in Eugene Oregon. Now Mojo waiting for new mom to make the long drive from Washington. A couple hours…… .
A little glitch..as always in rescue…our second leg got cancelled due to weather in Oregon…so our adopter, committed as she is..is now driving to meet pilot number one! Wish her a safe journey…she has a five hour drive.
As promised we have EXCITING news to share! Our totally blind senior boy Mojo took a different kind of flight this morning earning him some special wings! Through the generosity of two pilots with Pilots and Paws, he is headed north right now on the first leg of his flight to his forever home! His adopter could not be any more perfect and is anxiously waiting for him to land in the Seattle area. Mojo will spend the rest of his life in Snohomish Washington! How special is that? His new mom and two legged brother have been searching for a furever friend just like him! His new aunt works and trains in a special program with guide dogs in Oregon. Just when we think all hope is lost for a special dog, the perfect person drops from heaven! We will update with more photos soon but as of right now Mojo is in the air starting the beginning of a brand new life. We have to thank Jenny Campbell for picking this boy up for us at the Vet (where previous owner took him to euthanize) and fostering for several months. Thank you to Kim Twolan for taking him in last minute and helping to coordinate the adoption. And lastly, we could NOT have done this without Pilots Ken and Sean ! We are forever grateful and humbled by your generosity and caring for these animals.
FOSTER FOUND! But now we get to know him and look for a forever home for him! Watch for updates!
URGENT HELP NEEDED!
PLEASE let us know via email at hello@calwear.org with MOJO in the subject line. His current foster had to leave on a long road trip so he also needs a place to land while we work on adoption. He is not the “perfect boy” but he could be perfect for you.
URGENT!!!!! We need a temporary foster for this wonderful Blind 10 year old so we can spring him from the Vets office! Please help us to help him! Preferably a home with no other dogs as he is slow to get used to them because of his blindness. He just needs a nice calm home……just temporary until we can get a plan together. ANYONE!?!?
What’s worse than being an older 10 year old Weimaraner??? Being a BlIND 10 year old Weimaraner! This boy needs a foster in the San Diego area if possible. He was taken in by a wonderful veterinarian instead of putting him down at owners request. Vêts staff reached out to Calwear to help. He is blind but healthy for is age. He is super sweet and a mellower dog. He is housetrained. He is a bit afraid of and takes time to get used to other dogs. Vet feels he would be good with cats since he can’t see them. He has had all medical and is found to be healthy. So what we need is someone compassionate and patient with Seniors who can take him in until we get a long term plan. We just need to get him out of the Vets office while we work on it. Anyone have a soft spot in their heart and on their couch for a blind old man? Contact hello@calwear.org ASAP if you can help. Or respond via msg here and we will respond.
