CalWEAR first learned about BUTTERCUP through the SPCA in Long Beach. A family had brought in a Blue Weimaraner, and two of her Weimaraner mix kids. Mamma was adopted through the SPCA, but due to COVID, they had trouble networking Buttercup and her littermate brother, Mojo, and asked CalWEAR for help.
As of this writing, Mojo has busted out of the shelter and is now resting comfortably in a foster-to-adopt home. But Buttercup remains, and desperately needs her own family.
We don’t know much about Buttercup; only that she’s young, frightened, shell-shocked about being in a shelter, and very nervous around strangers. We expect that she’ll open up once she gets into a home environment, but this may take some time.
Please contact us at hello@CalWEAR.org if you would like to meet with Buttercup. We can schedule an appointment for you to meet with her at the SPCA in Long Beach. Thank you!
